Verse 1
I struck three matches in the night,
To chase away the dark with light.
A tiny flame, so soft, so small,
But still it shone for me through all.
I struck three matches in the storm,
To keep my weary fingers warm.
The fire whispered through the rain,
And lit the road I walked again.
Chorus
Three sparks are flying on the wind,
A fragile fire, but it lives within.
Through the rain, through the raging sky,
I’ll keep this flame, it will never die.
Verse 2
I struck three matches in the cold,
To warm my heart, to break the hold.
They woke the silence with their song,
And brought the joy I’d lost so long.
I struck three matches in the night,
The flame was gentle, yet so bright.
Though small, it rose above my fear,
A light to guide and keep me near.
Chorus
Three sparks are flying on the wind,
A fragile fire, but it lives within.
Through the rain, through the raging sky,
I’ll keep this flame, it will never die.
Bridge
It takes so little to ignite,
The hope we thought had lost its light.
One single spark can set us free,
And show the path we’re meant to see.
One spark is all it takes to rise,
To paint the earth with burning skies.
A fire born from dust and stone,
To warm the world and make it home.
